TRAINING COURSES

The Faculty of Health Care Professions at the University of Central England in Birmingham (UCE) offers the Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Science (MSc) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, which is the core training for the MIIPC.

Course Aims

• To provide inter-professional , inter-disciplinary learning environment for the critical and reflective analysis of the practice of counselling and psychotherapy.

• To facilitate the production of innovative applied research within counselling and psychotherapy. An approach will be adopted which acknowledges the primacy of the client and practice concerns within an academic milieu.

• To further the exploration of integrative studies within counselling and psychotherapy.

To complete the MSc, a student will be expected to complete a research project which develops in a creative and critical manner further initiatives within a specific area of counselling and psychotherapy practice.
